Addiction Awareness Level 2
This course is designed for individuals who have been stabillised in their drug use.
The course is an interactive course which relies on individual participation. It is hoped that through the sharing of knowledge and personal experience, the course will give participants a deeper understanding of recovery from addiction.
The course will look at a variety of treatment and recovery options, highlighting the pros and con's of each option. It will also address the personal issues that affect someone's recovery and look at how to plan for a positive, effective recovery.
Course Details
- Throughout this course participants will look at different options available to them for treatment and recovery.
- Through discussion, participants will identify the positives and negatives of differing options.
- The course will also look at personal issues individuals may encounter in their recovery. It will identify the idea of taking personal control and overcoming fear as an aid to positive recovery and decision making.
- The course will also look at planning for recovery. It will ask participants to identify the specific issues that will affect recovery and positive decision making.
- Participants will look at relapse prevention as part of a recovery planning.
