Fire Safety Awareness

This is a short course run over three hours. It is facilitated by a member of the North Yorkshire Fire Brigade who provides certification of attendance and participation.

The course promotes the understanding of fire safety for individuals within their own homes. It provides a venue for participants to further their knowledge of effective fire safety and risk management.

The course also provides facts about household fires and the fire service in order to provide an understanding of effective fire safety.

Aims Of The Course

  1. To promote the understanding of fire safety within the home.
  2. To provide a venue for questions to increase knowledge about effective fire safety.
  3. To provide information about accessing the free fire prevention service and fire safety home assessments.

This course will be considered as part of a completed programme of resettlement, and may be used as module of a higher certificate in Effective Tenancy Management
