Peasholme Paddlers Take on the River Ouse!

We are excited to announce that our team, the Peasholme Paddlers, will be taking to the River Ouse on Sunday, 12th July for the annual York Dragon Boat Race!

Community, Connection, and Team Spirit
The York Dragon Boat Race is a fantastic city tradition that brings local businesses, charities, and families together for a brilliant day out on the riverbanks. For us, this event is all about camaraderie, and connecting with our community outside the usual routine. We are focusing on great team spirit and having a wonderful family day out together.

Paddling with a Purpose
While we are looking forward to a fun day on the water, we are also racing for a very important cause. The Peasholme Paddlers have set a fundraising goal of £2,500 to help support our vital work in the community, and we need your help to get there.

Sponsor the Crew: Help us reach our £2,500 target! Every donation goes directly toward our ongoing initiatives and making a real difference.

Join the Boat: Due to a few last-minute dropouts, we are looking for a couple of extra paddlers and a drummer to complete our 2026 crew. No prior rowing experience is needed, just enthuasism, team spirit, and a willingness to help us fundraise. (Participants must be reasonably fit and able to swim 50 meters unaided).
